Frank Baron, M.D., FAAD
Dr. Baron graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School in 1975. In the late 1970s, he arrived in the Northwest to work with Native Americans and migrant workers in Eastern Washington before completing his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Washington in 1979. He then added a fellowship in Dermatology in 1988. Board certified in both internal medicine and dermatology, Dr. Baron has been practicing Dermatology for more than 20 years. During this time, he has served as the president of the Washington State Dermatology Association and has been honored several times as one of the metro area’s “Top Docs” by Seattle Magazine. Dr. Baron founded Island Dermatology and Skin Care in April 2001.
Kendra Gail Bergstrom, M.D., FAAD
Dr. Kendra Gail Bergstrom is a board-certified dermatologist who practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, caring for patients of all ages. Originally from Seattle, Dr. Bergstrom earned her medical degree at Stanford University following undergraduate training at the University of California Berkeley. Her post-graduate training concluded at New York University’s Department of Dermatology, the nation’s oldest and largest training program. She completed further specialized training with a melanoma fellowship at the Royal Prince Albert Hospital in Sydney, Australia and a cosmetic fellowship in vein therapy in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining Island Dermatology, Dr. Bergstrom worked at Pacific Medical Centers in Seattle and Bothell. Before moving to Seattle, she was in private practice on Park Avenue in Manhattan and a clinical assistant professor at NYU. Dr. Bergstrom is pleased to return home to the northwest. She grew up in graduated from Garfield High School, rowing competitively at Green Lake Crew, for the Junior National Team, and later at Berkeley. She enjoys spending time with her young family and dog Otis.
Dr. Bergstrom has authored multiple publications and is the author of a book, 100 Questions and Answers about Psoriasis, available on Amazon. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology and writes for the journal.
Catherine Del Secco, PA-C
In the medical profession since 1992, Ms. Del Secco completed her degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Washington in 2003. Catherine was the lead physician assistant in the emergency room at Virginia Mason for several years before entering the field of Dermatology. Catherine joined Island Dermatology in January 2009 where she did intensive training under the leadership of Dr. Baron. Catherine performs the full range of cosmetic dermatology services including lasers for skin rejuvenation and red/brown spot removal, botox and fillers as well as medical dermatology services including skin checks, moles, rashes, warts and acne. She is also an active member of the National Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Jennifer Hall, PA-C
Jennifer Hall is a Certified Dermatology Physician Assistant who treats patients of all ages with psoriasis, skin cancers, acne, and other dermatological conditions. Jennifer graduated from Butler University/Clarion Health and spent the first 5 years of her Physician Assistant career in primary and urgent care in Texas. In 2004 she transitioned to dermatology and was trained by a Mohs surgeon to perform excisions and surgical closures, in addition to cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, and laser treatments. She practiced dermatology in San Diego, California for 3 years, Ormond Beach, Florida for 4 years, and most recently ran a busy dermatology clinic near Nashville, Tennessee for 5 1/2 years. She relocated to Mercer Island and joined Island Dermatology in October 2016. She is an active member of the National Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. In 2009 Jennifer earned an MBA from the University of Florida, graduating with honors, Beta Gama Sigma. In her spare time she loves to run, travel, and spend time with her daughter, husband, and golden retriever.
Sheila LiBrizzi, Licensed Aesthetician
Sheila has been in the Cosmetic industry for over 15 years working as an Aesthetician and professional Make-up artist. She started her career on the East Coast working for 2 Physicians at Baystate Center for Plastic Surgery in the Boston Area. She moved to Seattle in 1995 and continued her work at a Medical Spa in Seattle where she was the lead Aesthetician providing many services for facial rejuvenation. Joining Island Dermatology in 2011, she is dedicated to patient care and has an extensive knowledge about a wide variety treatments and can help direct you toward the best way to treat and meet your skin care needs. She specializes in body contouring with Coolsculpting as well as skin tightening services along with science-based skincare. Being able to treat skin concerns with effective treatments and medical grade skincare is her ultimate passion. Sheila is always ready to learn the newest technology and she enjoys educating and building strong relationships with patients.
Yolanda Anderson, Licensed Aesthetician, CMA
Yolanda began her work in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1980 and pursued her career in Nursing. In 1985 she graduated as a Practical Nurse from North Seattle Community College with the help of ARMY and trailed in Home Care for over 15 years. She is also a certified medical assistant and has spent the majority of her career working in dermatology at Virginia Mason Medical Center where she met and worked with Dr. Frank Baron. Yolanda followed Dr. Baron when he opened Island Dermatology in 2001 and since that time has been dedicated to assisting our providers to deliver the highest quality care to our patients. With the support of the Island Dermatology team, she chose to pursue another career goal, going back to school to become an Aesthetician. Yolanda graduated from Aesthetics Northwest in March 2013. Yolanda’s years of experience in home care and dermatology are obvious as she advocates for patient’s individualized needs. She understands and is able to clearly communicate what treatment options are available and appropriate for each patient. Her specialty as an Aesthetician lies in her ability to listen to the patient, provide exceptional service, and tailor a treatment program that works for them. Yolanda continues to work closely with all of the providers at Island Dermatology, offering a wide range of dermatology services and skin care knowledge.
