Eyelash Extensions Before & After

How JB Lashes Are Applied?

An exciting, new 90-minute service for creating longer, thicker, curlier, more abundant eyelashes – lashes are extended through certified professionals who will apply soft, synthetic eyelashes directly onto your own natural eyelashes, one lash at a time. Eyelash extensions last up to 7-9 weeks through JB Lashes’ safe and specially formulated bonding agent. Various lengths, curls, thicknesses, and colors are available for a customized look to tailor to your specific look and style

Step 1: Client Contacts a Technician
Contact a certified JB Lashes technician in your area, and ask about such concerns as rates, availability and the length of time required to apply your eyelash extensions. Click here to find a technician and schedule an appointment.

Step 2: Lashes Are Prepped
Eye area is cleansed with JB Lashes’ LashCare Oil-Free Protein Remover & Primer. Lower lashes and upper eyelids are taped down, with eyelid tape placed as close as possible to upper lashes. (If you prefer, you can have JB Lashes’ LashCare Lint-Free Eye Gel Patches applied while your lashes are being extended.) Upper lashes are brushed so they are straight and neatly organized.

Step 3: JB Lashes Are Applied One By One
Each natural lash is isolated, and a synthetic lash, about one-half to one-third inches longer than your natural lash, is adhered on. To avoid unnecessary lash movement, and to allow the glue to fully dry, please keep your eyes closed for a few minutes – even after the application has been completed..

Step 4: Congratulations!
You can now awaken to a full set of beautiful, lush, longer lashes every morning without the time-consuming hassle of applying mascara and eyeliner.

Step 5: After Care
For 2 hours: Avoid water contact on your new lashes. For 2 days: Do not steam your face, enter a steam bath, swim, or wash your face with hot water.

What To Avoid While Wearing Your New Lashes?

Over the counter mascara. If you want to give your lashes an even more dramatic look without harming them, ask your technician about JB Lashes’ LashCare Volume Up Coating Mascara. This mascara is specially designed for eyelash extensions with essential benefits for extended lashes. If your technician does not carry this product, it can be easily purchased at our E-Shop.

Manual lash curlers. These curlers will break both extensions and natural lashes. Ask our technician about JB Lashes Heated Eyelash Curler, which do not cause breakage. If your technician does not carry this product, it can be easily purchased at our E-Shop.

Oil based makeup remover or oil based makeup. The bonding agent used for your eyelash extensions is oil based, and will melt away when it contacts oil based eye products. Ask your technician about JB Lashes’ LashCare Oil-Free Protein Remover & Primer. If your technician does not carry this product, it can be easily purchased at our E-Shop.

Eyelash perming or tinting. These procedures can damage your new lashes.

Rubbing lashes or eyes while washing your face. Instead, always pat lashes dry after cleansing. If you need more information about eyelash extensions “do’s” and “don’ts”, please view our FAQ section.

DO’S – Daily Maintenance

Do use ONLY water based (oil-free) eye make-up and eye make-up remover: Use a small, cotton based tipped applicator to gently remove eye-make up. Please ask your JB Lashes Lash Artist if he/she carries JB Lashes’ LashCare, Oil-Free Protein Remover & Primer.

Do be gentle while cleansing the eye area and pat lashes dry.

Do use JB Lashes’ LashCare, Longer Life Coating Sealer: Our specially formulated coating sealer will help protect and extend the life of your lashes from harmful particles such as dirt and oil. Please ask your JB Lashes Lash Artist if he/she carries this product.

Do schedule a touch-up session with your JB Lashes Lash Artist: The natural lash life cycle is about 100 days and the eyelash extensions may fall off during this period of negligent care by client. Touch-ups are recommended to be done every 2 weeks to replace any lashes that may have fallen off within that time period.

DON’T’S – Daily Maintenance

Don’t use regular, over-the-counter mascaras: We recommend using JB Lashes specially formulated for eyelash extensions, LashCare Volume Up Coating Mascara. Use this mascara only on the tips of the extensions – do not apply from the root of eyelashes! Please ask your JB Lashes Lash Artist if he/she carries this product.

Don’t use manual lash curlers: This will break both extensions and natural lashes! Instead, we recommend using JB Lashes’ Heated Eyelash Extension Curler. Use to curl lashes only on the tips of the extensions – do not heat from the root of eyelashes! Please ask your JB Lashes Lash Artist if he/she carries this product.

Don’t receive acidic facials: Acidic peels such as Chemical Peels, Alpha and/or Beta Hydroxy Peels will dissolve the bonding agent of eyelash extensions.

Don’t excessively rub lashes or eyes while washing face.

Don’t use oil-based eye products around or on the eyes. Oil-based products around or on the eyes will dissolve the bonding agent of eyelash extensions.

Grow fuller, darker, longer eye lashes

LATISSE® is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough lashes) to grow eyelashes longer, fuller, darker.

Great eyelashes don’t just happen overnight. That’s why it’s important to note that LATISSE® solution works gradually and remarkably — with full results at week 16. Once you begin, you must continue applying the topical solution each night and follow the directions for best results. If you stop using LATISSE® at any time, your eyelashes will return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.

Set your sights on growth. As the treatment progresses, you’ll first begin to see changes in length. Then, gradually, you’ll notice more thickness and darkness in your lashes. If you’re satisfied with your results by week 8, don’t stop there. Stick with the treatment. After week 16, you’ll see the full effect of LATISSE® solution — and so will others. After that, you can talk to your doctor about ongoing use.

Important Safety Information
If you use/used prescription products for eye pressure problems, use LATISSE® under doctor care. LATISSE® may cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. Eyelid skin darkening may occur and may be reversible. Only apply at the base of upper lashes. DO NOT APPLY to lower lid. Hair may grow on skin that LATISSE® frequently touches. If you have eye problems/surgery, consult your doctor about use of LATISSE®. Common side effects are itchy and red eyes. If discontinued, lashes gradually return to previous appearance.
